HDR Imaging In Linux

This tool enables you to experiment with high-dynamic range lighting in a photo or 3D image that might be used in a game or 3D world. The options for controlling HDR lighting are simple: adjust a slider for gamma correction, load a tonal mapping tool to adjust light sources and other variables. Customize Vista Before Installing It

As you read it, you can customize your Windows Vista before you install it. For this you only need a free tool that lets you do that.

Windows Vista from Microsoft takes a lot of resources, we all know that. this tool provides you with an easy removal of the unwanted components in order to make Vista run faster and to your liking.

This tool doesn’t use any kind of hacking, all files and registry entries are protected as they would be if you install the unedited version only with the changes you select.

ss1 It configures the installation directly before the installation, meaning you’ll have to remake the ISO and reinstall it. This method is much cleaner, not to mention easier and more logical than doing it after installation on every reinstall.

vLite is a tool for customizing the Windows Vista installation before actually installing it.

Main features are:

  • hotfix, language pack and driver integration
  • component removal
  • unattended setup
  • tweaks
  • split/merge Vista installation CDs
  • create ISO and burn bootable CD/DVD

Driver Download - Free

If you use windows surely you already had to install at least one time again, this unfortunately is normal under windows operating system. Well sometimes this could be painfully because you have to have all the drivers for your computer. Well with this tool you can do this easily.

DriverMax is a new tool that allows you to download the latest driver updates for your computer. No more searching for rare drivers on discs or on the web or inserting one installation CD after the other. Just create a free account, log in, and start downloading the updates that you need.

drivermax_main You can also export all your current drivers (or just the ones that work ok) to a folder or a compressed file. After reinstalling Windows you will have everything in one place!

Most of the situations when Windows is running slower are caused by faulty driver installations. Windows stores all versions of older drivers just in case you want to go back; sometimes it messes up older versions with more recent ones. The Export Wizard will only export the drivers you select by copying the needed files to a folder or a compressed ZIP file.

After reinstalling Windows all drivers will be back in place in less than 5 minutes - sparing you of searching, inserting disc after disk and losing precious time. The Import Drivers wizard allows you to install all the drivers that you exported earlier. The entire operation might take up to 5-10 minutes.

Just one single computer restart will be required after all drivers are reinstalled!

DriverMax is able to display a complete report of all drivers (versions, release dates) installed on your system. This feature can also be very useful when you want to analyze the differences between the drivers installed on different machines.

Tweak Your Windows Vista

regtoy1 This power-packed application tweaks your Registry to optimize computer performance, but novices shouldn’t expect much hand-holding. RegToy has a pretty nested-button-and-tab interface, which may put off some because it doesn’t follow windows standards. Options are primarily of the enable/disable variety, and most changes take effect immediately.

Though the tweak options are carefully labeled, users must know the consequences of altering them, as the few onscreen notes don’t provide adequate assistance. You can restore the Registry settings to the Windows default, but that’s an emergency final resort, as it will undo many changes made by you and some other programs. RegToy also includes a poorly explained feature for saving and loading settings. Other features include nifty utilities such as a file renamer, a file shredder, a start-up manager, an uninstall manager, and a disk cleaner for removing unnecessary files.

You also get a Registry cleaner for removing invalid Registry entries (I prefer CCleaner). It’s very rare to find such a powerful and free tweaking application. Intermediate to advanced users will quickly make RegToy an integral part of their toolboxes.
