Today is my 3rd week since I bought a brand new MacBook and since then I tried not to use my windows notebook (VAIO Z770N) and I have to say that I enjoy so much working with OSX that I did not think on windows any more since then.
I do not why but Mac was always been a desire and I know that many PC guys wants to have one.
Well my opportunity comes and it worths every dollar I paid for it.
It is a MacBook with 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 Gb of RAM, 250 Gb HD. and aluminum body.
So for now on I am going to talk about many aspects of OSX and how is going with this new experience. I have already experience with Linux so the transition is easier because OSX and Linux are in many ways identically.
I have to say that until now the OSX is faster than windows in many ways. You can boot on less time and when you have to shut down the computer is almost immediately.
It took me a little time to live with one button mouse but you can do it in no time.
Another characteristic that I love of my new Mac is the keyboard, it illuminate when the computer detects that there is no enough light.
If you did the change from Windows to OSX tell me about it your experience.

Today the San Francisco Chronicle talks about Google and how all the information that Google with it free services are collecting about everyone and everything.
From its start, Google has set for itself the mission of organizing all the world’s information. Not some. All. In its first 10 years, it has shown no hesitation in tackling the largest scale computing challenges it can find. This company does not scare.
They are scanning every book, they have the number one destination of videos, they have free programs like word and excel to create online documents and you can store in their servers. They manage our email, they handle our medical records, photos, maps, calendar, etc. With all these services they can know what, where, who, etc about everyone.
Bill Gates said a long time ago that the powerful is not the one with bigger weapons is the one with more information and that is what Google is doing right now.
Which leads to the question, in light of Google’s audacious information collecting, why were we ever scared of the Microsoft Evil Empire? At the apogee of Microsoft’s power, its ability to know what its customers were doing was nil. Our information was privately stored on our PCs. But if you discard Word and Excel for Google’s Docs and Spreadsheets, your files sit on Google’s computers. And if you avail yourself of Google’s array of other free services, so do your personal calendar, your e-mail, your online shopping history, personal photos, health records and stock portfolio.
So is this concentration of this kind of information is for good or not? Just the time will tell us but if we look back in history to much power corrupt anyone.
What do you think?…

This Sunday I was watching Steelers vs Eagles game and I saw a Microsoft’s commercial ad that shows people saying they are PCs. I tried to understand the commercial and the only thing I can conclude is that Microsoft spend a lot of money just to tell us what you, me and everybody already know.
All the people who owns a computer is a PC person; no matter what Operating System you are using (Windows, Linux or OS X) all of them are installed on a PC (PERSONAL COMPUTER) so this is nothing to be a WINDOWS PERSON as Microsoft try to explain.
The other ads with Jerry Seinfeld the only thing they promote is Apple ads, the first thing we all think when we saw this ads is Apple Mac vs PC ads.
What do you think? …

I know this blog is about technology but I think I have the obligation as a Jew and as a human being who have a lot of respect for all the living things on this planet, and for people no matter how they think or in what they believe to transmit this video who shows a reality. A reality that the world tried in many ways to hide.
I know that not every muslim in this planet have to be an extremist but there are two things that make me have reserves and precautions against muslims, one is all the actual conflicts on this planet are muslims involved and the second things is that I do not hear or read or see a muslim condemned a terrorist attack.
